Privacy Policy

This notice describes categories of data involved in using https://metromedx.com, following third-party links or submitting a website-feedback message. MetroMedX is an educational publisher, not a pharmacy or medical patient portal. Data handling by independent outside services follows their own notices.

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Scope and Site Identity

This policy concerns MetroMedX pages hosted at https://metromedx.com, including the contact form and our editorial navigation. We publish information about metronidazole and related prescription drugs; we do not operate an electronic medical record, write prescriptions, process pharmacy payments or administer an insurance claim.

If you leave this site for a pharmacy, advertising partner, telehealth clinic or other provider, that service may collect additional data under its own terms and privacy policy. The provider’s name and practices should be reviewed before sending medical or financial information.

Information You Choose to Submit

The contact form requests an email address, inquiry topic, message and acknowledgment. Name, affected MetroMedX article URL and supporting public reference URL are optional. The submission is intended to investigate feedback, evaluate corrections and reply when appropriate.

Please do not provide lab results, health histories, prescription photographs, dates of birth, insurance account numbers, payment-card numbers, passwords or another person’s private records. The form is not a secure patient portal and should not be used to seek individual medical advice.

Technical Records and Security Data

Web servers and their infrastructure may process an IP address, user-agent string, requested path, timestamp, referrer, response status and diagnostic records for security, reliable page delivery and troubleshooting. An article visit does not establish a diagnosis or an individual treatment plan.

The contact handler supplied with these pages validates input, includes anti-spam controls and uses a pseudonymous hashed request identifier and five-minute request timestamps for basic rate limiting. The handler does not create a permanent database of message bodies. Its hashed rate-limit files persist until removed by host temporary-file cleanup; hosting and mail services may separately record delivery or security logs.

Contact Form Processing and Delivery

Submitted contact details are processed by a server-side form endpoint and, when correctly configured, transmitted to the website’s editorial recipient using the web host’s mail transport. The submission is checked for length, valid email format, suspicious content and abuse frequency. A message can be rejected, rate limited or become temporarily unavailable.

The website confirms a successful handoff only when its configured mail transport accepts the message. That does not guarantee inbox delivery or a personal response. The mail provider or hosting company may retain service logs according to its own operational practices.

Cookies, Analytics and Advertising Technologies

Essential hosting or security systems may use cookies or similar technologies if enabled. Analytics, advertising or preference technologies may also be present depending on actual deployment, and some third-party embeds can use their own identifiers. Applicable consent, notice and opt-out obligations depend on technologies and jurisdictions.

This notice does not claim a specific analytics vendor, advertising network or consent platform is installed if that has not been established. Site operators should keep deployment records and the live privacy notice aligned with actual services.

Affiliate Referrals and External Websites

Some MetroMedX outgoing links may be commercial referrals. A linked destination can receive the URL, ordinary referral details or tracking identifiers and can then request information directly. We do not control what a user provides after navigating to an independent provider.

A referral is not a warranty that a medicine is genuine, a dispensing pharmacy is properly licensed or the visitor qualifies for a particular treatment. Review the independent provider’s identity, privacy statement and authorization before entering sensitive data.

Purposes, Providers and Cross-Border Processing

Website-related data can be used to provide the site, defend against abuse, respond to correspondence, investigate errors and satisfy applicable legal requirements. Hosting, security and email providers may process such information as service providers; their locations and technical configurations depend on the actual operating environment.

Cross-border processing may require specific safeguards under applicable data-protection law. This policy does not promise that all data stays in one country or invent the identities of infrastructure vendors.

Retention, Rights and Requests

Correspondence and operational logs should be kept no longer than reasonably needed for the relevant issue, site protection and any legal obligations. Actual retention can differ by hosting, rate-limit settings and mail infrastructure; this notice does not claim an unsupported fixed period.

Depending on jurisdiction and circumstances, individuals may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a complaint to a data-protection authority. Submit a website privacy inquiry through the contact form using the Privacy request topic, initially without unnecessary identity documents or health records.

Security, Children and Policy Updates

We aim to use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no website or email transmission can be guaranteed perfectly secure. The contact channel should not be used to communicate medical emergencies or sensitive patient files.

This website is a general information resource and is not intended to solicit personal details from children. We may revise this notice when site functionality, service providers or applicable obligations change. The date shown above identifies this version; material inconsistencies can be reported through the contact channel.
